The short version: We do not run ads. We do not track you. We do not sell your data. We collect the minimum information needed to deliver a private social experience for your closest 30 people.
Introduction
MyCirclee ("we," "our," or "us") is operated by Neogy LLC, a New Hampshire limited liability company (Business ID: 1010134). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use the MyCirclee iOS application and our website at mycirclee.app.
By using MyCirclee, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
Information We Collect
We believe in minimal data collection. We only gather what is necessary for the app to function.
Account Information
- Required: Email address, display name, and handle (username)
- Optional: Bio, location, phone number, and birthday
You choose what optional information to share. Your profile is only visible to members of your circle.
Content You Create
- Posts: Notes, events, asks, and polls you share with your circle
- Direct messages: Messages you send to other members
- Reactions and replies: Your interactions with others' posts
Presence Status
When you set a presence status (such as "Free to chat" or "Deep work"), that status is shared with members of your circle only. Presence data is ephemeral and not retained after you change or clear your status.
Information We Do Not Collect
We do not collect: device identifiers for tracking, location data (unless you explicitly add it to a post or event), contacts or address book data, browsing history, usage analytics or behavioral data, or any information from other apps on your device.
How We Use Your Information
We use your information exclusively to provide and maintain the MyCirclee service:
- Account management: To create and authenticate your account
- Content delivery: To display your posts and messages to the intended recipients
- Presence sharing: To show your availability status to your circle members
- Push notifications: To alert you about new posts, messages, and events from your circle
- Content safety: To process content safety checks on your device (not on our servers)
- Search: To power on-device search via CoreSpotlight (indexed locally, never sent to any server)
We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, algorithmic recommendations, or any purpose beyond delivering the core service.
Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored using Supabase, a secure cloud infrastructure built on PostgreSQL. We take the following measures to protect your information:
- Row Level Security (RLS): Database-level access controls ensure users can only access data they are authorized to see
- Encryption in transit: All data transmitted between your device and our servers is encrypted using TLS
- Authentication: Secure authentication is handled through Supabase Auth
- Minimal server-side processing: Content safety analysis happens on your device, not on our servers
While no system is perfectly secure, we implement industry-standard safeguards and continuously review our security practices.
Ephemeral Content
24-hour auto-deletion: All posts (notes, events, asks, and polls) expire 24 hours after creation and are permanently deleted from our servers. This is not a soft archive — the data is gone.
This is a core design principle of MyCirclee. We believe social content should reflect what is happening now, not build a permanent record. Once content expires, it cannot be recovered by you, by us, or by anyone.
Direct messages are not ephemeral and persist until you delete them or delete your account.
Third-Party Services
We use a very small number of third-party services, and none of them are advertising or analytics platforms:
Supabase
Cloud database, authentication, and real-time infrastructure. Supabase processes your account data and content to provide the service. Supabase Privacy Policy
Apple Push Notifications
We use Apple's Push Notification service (APNs) to deliver notifications to your device. Apple does not have access to the content of your notifications. Apple Privacy Policy
That is the complete list. We do not use Google Analytics, Facebook SDK, advertising networks, crash reporting services, or any other third-party tracking tools.
Children's Privacy
MyCirclee is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us at neogy@duck.com and we will promptly delete that information.
Data Retention and Deletion
- Ephemeral posts: Automatically and permanently deleted 24 hours after creation
- Presence status: Overwritten each time you update it; not retained historically
- Direct messages: Retained until you delete them individually or delete your account
- Account data: Retained as long as your account is active
- CoreSpotlight index: Stored only on your device; removed when you uninstall the app
When you delete your account, all of your data — including your profile, messages, and any remaining posts — is permanently removed from our servers. This process is irreversible.
Your Rights
You have full control over your data. You can:
- Access your data: View all information associated with your account directly in the app
- Edit your information: Update your profile, display name, and optional details at any time
- Delete your content: Remove any individual post or message
- Export your data: Request a copy of your data by contacting us
- Delete your account: Permanently delete your account and all associated data from within the app
If you are located in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, California, or another jurisdiction with applicable data protection laws, you may have additional rights including the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

Website Privacy
The MyCirclee website (mycirclee.app) is a static site. It does not use cookies, does not run analytics scripts, and does not track visitors in any way. No data is collected when you visit our website.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make significant changes, we will notify you through the app and update the effective date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
Your continued use of MyCirclee after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
