Our commitment
We believe access to your closest relationships shouldn't depend on your abilities. MyCirclee is designed so that every person — whether they navigate by touch, by voice, or by switch — can stay connected to the people who matter most.
MyCirclee is built natively in SwiftUI for iOS 17 and later, which means we inherit and build on Apple's deep accessibility infrastructure. But we go further: every feature is tested with assistive technologies, and every design decision considers the full spectrum of how people use their phones.
Vision
Full VoiceOver support, Dynamic Type scaling, high contrast ratios, and color-independent indicators.
Motor
Large touch targets, haptic feedback, standard gestures, and widget shortcuts that reduce the need for complex interactions.
Hearing
Visual and haptic alternatives for all audio cues. Presence indicators and post notifications are fully visual.
Cognitive
Simple, consistent interface patterns. Ephemeral content reduces information overload. No algorithmic surprises.
Vision accessibility
Seeing your circle should never be a barrier. MyCirclee works seamlessly with iOS vision accessibility features and adds its own thoughtful touches.
Full VoiceOver support
Every screen, every button, every presence indicator is labeled for VoiceOver. Semantic headings and groupings let you navigate the app by structure, not guesswork. SwiftUI's built-in accessibility traits are used throughout.
Dynamic Type
All text in MyCirclee respects your system font size settings. Whether you prefer tiny text or the largest accessibility sizes, layouts adapt gracefully. We use SF Pro and system serif fonts for optimal rendering at every scale.
Color and contrast
Our warm amber palette on dark backgrounds meets WCAG AA contrast ratios. Presence indicators use both color and text labels — you'll never need to distinguish meaning by color alone. High contrast mode is fully supported.
Widget and Live Activity labels
Home screen widgets, lock screen widgets, and Live Activities all carry proper accessibility labels so VoiceOver users can glance at their circle's status without opening the app.
Motor accessibility
We design for how people actually hold and use their phones — including people who interact differently with touch.
44pt minimum touch targets
Every interactive element in MyCirclee meets or exceeds Apple's recommended 44-point minimum for touch targets. Buttons, tabs, presence controls, and list items are all generously sized for comfortable tapping.
Haptic feedback
Meaningful haptic patterns throughout — impact feedback for interactions, selection feedback for choices, and distinct success and error patterns. These provide physical confirmation that an action registered, without needing to look at the screen.
Standard iOS gestures
Swipe-back navigation, pull-to-refresh, and all the gestures iOS users already know. We don't invent custom gestures that require learning. Keyboard navigation is also supported for external keyboards and switch control.
Widget shortcuts
Home screen and lock screen widgets let you check on your circle or change your presence status without navigating through multiple screens. Fewer taps, less effort, same connection.
Cognitive accessibility
Social apps can be overwhelming. We intentionally chose constraints that make MyCirclee calmer and easier to process.
Simple, consistent patterns
The interface follows the same patterns everywhere. Posts look like posts. People look like people. Once you learn one screen, you understand the whole app. No hidden menus, no surprise behaviors.
Ephemeral means less to process
Posts disappear after 24 hours. There's no endless archive to catch up on, no fear of missing something from three weeks ago. You see what's happening now, and that's all you need to see.
No algorithm, no anxiety
Everything is chronological. Nothing is ranked, filtered, or hidden. You don't need to wonder what you're missing or decode why something appeared. Reduced motion is respected — all animations are disabled when you have that setting on.
This website
We hold this website to the same standards we hold the app.
- WCAG 2.1 AA compliant — semantic HTML, proper heading hierarchy, ARIA labels where needed, and sufficient contrast ratios throughout.
- Dark theme by default — designed for comfort in low-light environments, matching the app's warm amber palette.
- Reduced motion supported — all animations and transitions are disabled when your system prefers reduced motion.
- Semantic structure — proper use of headings, landmarks, lists, and link text so screen readers can navigate efficiently.
- Keyboard navigable — every interactive element is reachable and operable via keyboard.
Feedback
If you encounter an accessibility barrier in MyCirclee — whether in the app or on this website — we want to hear about it. Every report helps us improve.
Reach us at neogy@duck.com with "Accessibility" in the subject line. Describe what you were trying to do, what happened, and what assistive technology you were using. We'll respond personally.
Continuous improvement
Accessibility is never finished. We regularly test MyCirclee with VoiceOver, Dynamic Type at all sizes, Switch Control, and Voice Control. As iOS introduces new accessibility APIs, we adopt them.
Our goal is simple: if you can use an iPhone, you can use MyCirclee. No asterisks, no exceptions.
